ABOUT KICK’N IT

Community Outreach for Children of Underserved Communities

Our Mission

Kick’n It for A Cause’s mission is to change lives starting with the sole. Kick’n it starts with providing the bare necessities such as food, water, and footwear, whilst helping educate people about things as complex as the health of our minds bodies, and the planet.

To bring our dream to life we will: Provide basic necessities to systematically disadvantaged people all over the globe while providing the necessary education for these people to excel in life.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “give a man a fish he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” Here at Kick’n it, we want to teach people to eat for a lifetime. Philanthropy consistently falls into the trap of trying to throw money at a problem until it goes away, we want to take a much more thoughtful approach.

An example of this would be handing out scholarships to graduating seniors, rather than taking those same students in their junior and Sophomore years and paying for their SAT prep so that they will, qualify for more scholarships on their own AND get into more colleges, to begin with.

Our Solution

K.I.C.K. stands for Knowledge Intended to Create Keys

These “Keys” are the necessary tools for kids to live a healthy life and excel in school and any other path they would like to take after graduation.

What are the “Keys”?

Keys are essential life skills that students either do not learn in school or do not spend enough time on.

Examples are:

  • Study Habits: How to build them and how to know what kind of learner you are

  • Entrepreneurship: The basics of it, what it is, and how to get into it

  • Resume Building: Including the job application process

  • Mental health: What it is, how to maintain it, and why it is important
